About the lab
One standard, held on every project.
Distributed Systems Labs is a small independent company. We take on the jobs where getting it right actually matters, and we hold every one of them to the same standard.
The lab was founded in 2018. The work is mostly about money, private information and records that people have to be able to trust. We keep the list of projects short on purpose, because the problems we take on do not reward a scattered effort.
How we work
The method is the product. It is the same on every project, and it is not up for negotiation.
We agree the plan before the work starts, solve the hard parts on paper, then build it once. After that we move in small pieces you can see and check for yourself. Anything we find wrong gets fixed the day we find it, and nothing is quietly left for later.
Where a mistake would be expensive, we do not rely on testing and hoping. We work through the maths until we know the answer is right.
The work over the paperwork
Written instructions go out of date the moment somebody changes the software, so we check every claim against what the thing actually does. Where a question is still open, we say so instead of covering it up.
